Marc Tardif is the 2018–2019 President-elect of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries. He will become its President in June 2019.
After 40 years in the profession, he retired from Deloitte in 2017 and now works as an independent consultant.
A Gold Award winner in recognition of his volunteer career with the Institute, Mr. Tardif’s first assignment was in 1984 when he joined the Program Committee. Between then and now, he served in 26 volunteer positions including the Budget Committee, Solvency Standards for Financial Institutions, Papers Committee, Rules of Professional Conduct, and Finance Committee. He chaired the Member Services Council and was a member of the Blue Ribbon Task Force on Public Policy, the International Relations Council, and the Board.
Mr. Tardif holds a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science from Université Laval.
